on Can an anxious attachment person and an avoidant person ever actually work?
The avoidant and anxious attract because they each mirror the other's wound.

on What does healing from CPTSD actually look like? I feel like I'm going in circles.
It looks like two steps forward, one step back, and a lot of confusion about whether you're actually getting better.

on How do I know if my relationship is holding me back?
Saving this. I've been circling the same thought for months.

on Does therapy actually work, or is it just venting to someone?
It took me three therapists to find one who actually helped. Don't give up after one.

on How do I stop comparing myself to everyone around me? It's ruining my life.
Comparison is measuring your insides by other people's outsides. You don't see their inner world.

on Are we anxious because we are too self-aware?
Anxiety and intelligence are correlated. Make of that what you will.

on What is BPD and how do I know if I have it?
This is exactly it. Thank you for putting it into words.

on I am depressed and I don't know how to come out of it. What do I do?
I thought I had to feel motivated first. Turns out I had to move a little, then the feeling followed later.

on Can you heal from CPTSD on your own, without a therapist?
I still freeze. The difference is I can come back sooner, and I don't hate myself for it as much.

on What approaches are most effective for healing from complex trauma?
Going in circles is often the work, not proof that you're failing the work.

on I think I'm depressed, but I still feel happy occasionally. What is wrong with me?
Depression is no longer stigmatized as it was. Please attempt a self-report of symptoms and see a physician. Being happy occasionally doesn't disqualify the diagnosis.
