What is BPD and how do I know if I have it?
People talk about personality like it's a costume. For me it feels more like weather. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. I care about being better to the people around me. That's the part I want to get right. I keep finding essays that sound right and still don't change Tuesday morning. If you crawled out of a similar hole, I want the unglamorous version of how.

BPD is also known as Emotionally Unstable PD. For Borderlines, emotional instability is pervasive, almost constant, and extremely intense. Since emotions give us our sense of self and stability, everything becomes unstable.

That last line landed. I'm going to sit with it.

Insight without skills just made me a more articulate mess. The skills were the missing piece.

This is exactly it. Thank you for putting it into words.

A label helped me get language. It didn't give me a personality transplant, and I needed both truths.

People confuse intensity with manipulation a lot. They're not the same thing.

I needed this today more than I want to admit.
