1. Introduction

We collect only what we need to run educational tests, articles, and optional member accounts. askdr.app is not a licensed therapy practice and is not emergency care.

2. Who is responsible

The operator of Ask.Dr is the data controller for information collected through the Service. Questions: use the contact page.

3. Information we collect

• Account: display name, username, email, hashed password, and verification status when you sign up.
• Tests: if you are signed in and save a result, we store a snapshot on your account. Quiz answers are processed in your browser unless you save them.
• Contact: name, email, and message when you use the contact form.
• Technical data: IP address, device/browser data, and security logs needed to operate and protect the Service.

4. How we use information

We use data to operate the site, authenticate accounts, prevent abuse, send verification and reset emails, measure traffic, show advertising, and improve educational content. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure site traffic, and support advertising.

• Essential cookies: session and security cookies needed to log in and protect the Service.

We use infrastructure providers (hosting, email, database). Optional AI test narratives are generated by a model provider from your answers when you request a report. We do not share private test results publicly.

Account data remains until you request deletion via the contact page.

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal data through the contact page.

9. Security

Connections use HTTPS. Passwords are hashed. Saved test result labels are encrypted at rest. No method of transmission is perfectly secure.

10. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16. Do not create an account if you are under 16.
