I am depressed and I don't know how to come out of it. What do I do?
People keep saying I seem okay, which makes it harder to say I'm not. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. I keep waiting to want things again. Wanting hasn't shown up on schedule. I keep finding essays that sound right and still don't change Tuesday morning. Curious how other people live with this without turning it into their whole personality.

The most important part of coming out of depression is to DO SOMETHING. Most people cease to do anything at all. They deem nothing worthy of their time. With this they run into deeper spirals.

The 'fine at work, empty at home' split is so lonely. I see you.

How long did it take before that started to feel true for you?

Showers count. Reheating leftovers counts. I had to redefine what a win looked like.

I thought I had to feel motivated first. Turns out I had to move a little, then the feeling followed later.
