How do I know if my relationship is holding me back?
I keep trying to be easier to love, and I think that's the wrong project. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. Friends say 'just communicate.' We communicate. It just doesn't land. I keep finding essays that sound right and still don't change Tuesday morning. If you crawled out of a similar hole, I want the unglamorous version of how.

If you're the only one reading the books and starting the talks, that's data too.

Ask whether the relationship requires you to shrink. A partner who's right for you will want you to grow.

Saving this. I've been circling the same thought for months.

Wanting it to work isn't the same as it being workable. I learned that the slow way.

Repair after a fight told me more about the relationship than the fight itself.

That last line landed. I'm going to sit with it.
