Does therapy actually work, or is it just venting to someone?
I'm functional enough that people don't check. That's its own kind of disappearing. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. If this is just a bad month, I'll take that. It doesn't feel like a month. I figured if anyone would get it, it would be people here. I don't need a perfect answer. Even a small thing that made the next day easier would help.

It depends entirely on the therapist and modality. Bad therapy is just venting. Good therapy rewires how you think.

The 'not weakness' part is what I keep forgetting in the moment.

It took me three therapists to find one who actually helped. Don't give up after one.

Saving this. I've been circling the same thought for months.
