What does a trauma trigger actually feel like? People don't understand when I try to explain.
I don't need the dramatic version of my story to be true. The ordinary version already rearranged me. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. I can be kind to other people in this and cruel to myself in the same hour. I figured if anyone would get it, it would be people here. I don't need a perfect answer. Even a small thing that made the next day easier would help.

Like being pulled backward in time against your will. Your brain doesn't know it's a memory.

It's not just a bad feeling. Your body reacts as if the original danger is happening right now.
