Why does Sunday evening dread hit me hours before the workweek starts?
Saturday is fine. Sunday around 4pm I start feeling this heavy drop in my stomach even if I have nothing urgent on the calendar. I'll be standing at the kitchen sink rinsing a mug and suddenly Monday is already in the room with me. It's not one specific task. It's the whole shape of the week arriving early. I try to do something nice, like a walk or a show, and I can't land in it. My brain is already writing emails I haven't received. By 8pm I'm useless, scrolling, half-planning outfits like that's going to save me. I even put a load of laundry in just to feel like I did something useful with the dread. Monday itself is often okay once I'm there. It's this Sunday preview that wrecks the leftover weekend. Anyone else get the dread hours before it makes any sense?

Mine hits when I see the Sunday night laundry pile. Same week-is-coming feeling even if Monday is light.

I batch-cook something ugly on Sunday afternoon so my hands are busy. Doesn't make me excited for Monday. Just keeps me from pacing.

Is there a particular Sunday hour it starts, or does it slide earlier if you notice it?

I put a 20-minute puzzle out on the table. Sounds childish. It's the only thing that holds my attention past 5.
