What are some effective ways to improve self-esteem through psychology?
Compliments feel like someone handed me a jacket that isn't mine. I don't know where to put my arms. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. The evidence I use against myself is always more detailed than the evidence I allow in. I keep finding essays that sound right and still don't change Tuesday morning. If you crawled out of a similar hole, I want the unglamorous version of how.

Gratitude: come up with 3 unique things you are grateful for every day, no repeats. Write them in a journal. Share them with a friend. An attitude of gratitude throughout each day does wondrous things for self-esteem.

Did you figure that out on your own or with someone helping you?

Compliments bounced off until I had even one piece of evidence I respected in myself.
