Why is emotional dysregulation in BPD so misunderstood?
I'm trying to figure out what's 'me' versus what's a pattern that got named. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. Stigma made me delay getting language for years. I'm done delaying. I figured if anyone would get it, it would be people here. I don't need a perfect answer. Even a small thing that made the next day easier would help.

Because outsiders see the behavior, not the pain underneath.

BPD emotions are described as feeling like 3rd-degree burns all over your body. We have no emotional skin.

A label helped me get language. It didn't give me a personality transplant, and I needed both truths.

This is exactly it. Thank you for putting it into words.
