How do you know if you have a personality disorder vs. just a difficult personality?
I'm trying to figure out what's 'me' versus what's a pattern that got named. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. I'm not asking strangers to diagnose me. I am asking what the day-to-day actually looks like for people who live this. I figured if anyone would get it, it would be people here. If you crawled out of a similar hole, I want the unglamorous version of how.

Difficulty is a trait. Disorder is when it consistently impairs your life and relationships.

The key word is pervasive. Does it happen across all contexts? Does it cause significant distress or impairment?
