Why am I still exhausted after sleeping ten hours like I didn't sleep at all?
I went to bed at 9:30 last night and my phone said I slept 10 hours and 14 minutes. Two alarms. I still poured cereal into a mug because I could not find a bowl and I did not have it in me to open the lower cupboard. My eyes feel sandy. My legs feel like I walked home. I was in the bed the whole time. I even remember a dull dream about missing a bus. It does not count as rest somehow. Coffee does a half job and then I am tired and jittery, which is a worse combination. I used to wake up after seven hours and feel like a person. Now I can fill the whole night and still start the morning from behind. Has anyone else had this long-sleep-still-wrecked thing, and did anything actually change it besides just hoping?

I stopped trusting the tracker. Ten hours of junk sleep still feels like three. The number made me madder because it looked like I should be fine.

Same mug-cereal move. I keep a bowl on the drying rack now so I do not have to open a cupboard while I feel like wet cardboard.

Did you used to wake up a lot and not remember it? I started putting my phone in another room and the sleep got less long but more useful. Not a miracle. A little less sandy.
