How do I become more securely attached? I feel like I'm broken.
I don't actually want to be difficult. I want to know I won't be left, and my tactics are leftover from earlier years. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. Insight made me less surprised by myself. It didn't make me less raw. I figured if anyone would get it, it would be people here. If you crawled out of a similar hole, I want the unglamorous version of how.

Secure attachment can be earned through consistent, corrective experiences — therapy, relationships, self-work.

If you have a specific practice that helped, I'd love the unglamorous version.

You're not broken. You adapted to your environment. Now you need a new environment.
