Does anyone else become obsessed with waiting for a text when they have anxious attachment?
Closeness feels like relief and a threat at the same time. It's exhausting. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. I've read the infographics. I still refresh the thread. I figured if anyone would get it, it would be people here. Curious how other people live with this without turning it into their whole personality.

I refresh my phone hundreds of times. I know it's irrational. I can't stop.

I needed this today more than I want to admit.

The urge to 'get ahead of the abandonment' is so sneaky. Awareness helps; it doesn't erase it overnight.

If you have a specific practice that helped, I'd love the unglamorous version.

The waiting isn't about the text — it's about whether you're loved. That's the anxious attachment loop.
