Why do I feel anxious for no reason?
People keep asking what is wrong and I genuinely do not have an answer. Nothing terrible happened today. I am fed, I am safe, I am home. Still my stomach is tight and my thoughts are racing like I forgot something huge. I used to think if I could just find the reason I could fix it. That hunt made it worse. Does anyone else get hit with anxiety when nothing obvious is going on?

it is never no reason. sometimes it is a smell or a song or a tone. your body remembers before your mind does.

mine hits when things are calm. like my brain says too calm. something must be wrong.

@ivy_s yes. calm feels unsafe when you are used to chaos.

I used to argue with myself about this. like prove it. you cannot prove a feeling. that made it worse.

@chris_moretti exactly. I stopped trying to find the reason and just told myself this is a feeling. it will pass.

dehydration and caffeine do it to me too. not saying it is always that but it adds up.

for me it is skipped meals. I forget to eat and then wonder why I am shaking.
