How do I heal from trauma, fear, and the past completely?
I still catch myself asking permission to call it trauma, which feels like part of the original wound. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. I can be kind to other people in this and cruel to myself in the same hour. I keep finding essays that sound right and still don't change Tuesday morning. Curious how other people live with this without turning it into their whole personality.

Nobody can wipe your mind of the memories or return you to the person you were before. What is realistic: understanding what happened, how it affected you, and working to change the unproductive patterns. You'll never be who you would have been — but you'll be free of the ongoing effects.

If you have a specific practice that helped, I'd love the unglamorous version.

Going in circles is often the work, not proof that you're failing the work.
