Does having a personality disorder mean I'll always struggle in relationships?
I'm trying to figure out what's 'me' versus what's a pattern that got named. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. Stigma made me delay getting language for years. I'm done delaying. I figured if anyone would get it, it would be people here. If you crawled out of a similar hole, I want the unglamorous version of how.

No. But it means you'll have to work harder to understand your patterns and be honest about them.

That last line landed. I'm going to sit with it.

A label helped me get language. It didn't give me a personality transplant, and I needed both truths.

I have BPD and I've been in a stable relationship for 4 years. DBT saved my life.
