Why do I feel this way?
I want something that actually helps, not another inspirational paragraph. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. I've outgrown the advice that used to work, and I don't have a replacement yet. I keep finding essays that sound right and still don't change Tuesday morning. Curious how other people live with this without turning it into their whole personality.

You are most likely going through depression. Please take it very seriously. Seek help professionally and from close friends. Many people give shitty advice like 'go for a walk.' Please ignore them.

Asking here is already a form of asking for help. That counts even if it doesn't feel like it.

Yeah. The body gets there before the story does.

The thing that helped me wasn't dramatic. It was boring consistency I didn't want to admit worked.

I needed this today more than I want to admit.

You don't owe skeptics a TED talk about your brain.
