How can I deal with intense feelings of anguish, anxiety, fear, or shame?
If you've been in the thick of it and found a foothold, I want the honest version. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. I'm not in crisis in the movie-of-the-week sense. I am worn down in a way that's getting expensive. I keep finding essays that sound right and still don't change Tuesday morning. Curious how other people live with this without turning it into their whole personality.

Anxiety feels like chronic inadequacy. You go through life just like everyone else, but you can't help but feel like something about your experience is different from everyone else. Stop unfairly comparing yourself to others and I promise that feeling will fade.
