Why do I feel depressed so often?
Mornings feel like being asked to climb out of something with no handholds. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. I can get through a workday and then sit in the car for twenty minutes because going inside takes a second start. I keep finding essays that sound right and still don't change Tuesday morning. If you crawled out of a similar hole, I want the unglamorous version of how.

Depression can be caused by numerous factors or none — the brain is complex. But the common thread is a story of the self that has no hero. You can rewrite the story.

The 'fine at work, empty at home' split is so lonely. I see you.
