How do people actually get better? I've been depressed for years.
I've been 'managing' for so long I forgot what not managing would even look like. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. I can get through a workday and then sit in the car for twenty minutes because going inside takes a second start. I figured if anyone would get it, it would be people here. If you crawled out of a similar hole, I want the unglamorous version of how.

Slowly. Painfully slowly. One thing starts working and then you build on it.

For me it was finding one reason to get out of bed — not motivation, just momentum.
