What is anxious attachment?
Closeness feels like relief and a threat at the same time. It's exhausting. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. I've read the infographics. I still refresh the thread. I keep finding essays that sound right and still don't change Tuesday morning. If you crawled out of a similar hole, I want the unglamorous version of how.

Anxious/dependent people cling, worry, need reassurance, and feel terrified of abandonment. They often choose partners who are unavailable, re-creating early childhood wounds.

The urge to 'get ahead of the abandonment' is so sneaky. Awareness helps; it doesn't erase it overnight.

How long did it take before that started to feel true for you?
