What does a secure attachment actually feel like? I've never had one.
I don't actually want to be difficult. I want to know I won't be left, and my tactics are leftover from earlier years. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. I've read the infographics. I still refresh the thread. I figured if anyone would get it, it would be people here. I don't need a perfect answer. Even a small thing that made the next day easier would help.

It feels like not waiting for the other shoe to drop. Boring but wonderful.

You can disagree without fearing the relationship will end. That was the most shocking thing to me.

Came here to say something similar and you said it better.

The urge to 'get ahead of the abandonment' is so sneaky. Awareness helps; it doesn't erase it overnight.

The 'not weakness' part is what I keep forgetting in the moment.
