Why do I feel more anxious after a quiet weekend than after a packed one?
Busy weekends I'm tired in a normal way. Quiet ones undo me. I had nothing on the calendar this past weekend, which should've been rest. By Sunday afternoon I felt raw, like I'd been alone with my thoughts too long without a referee. I spent a chunk of Saturday on the couch under the striped throw blanket, not even watching the show that was on, just waiting for a feeling to pass. Monday I was somehow more jittery than after weekends where I ran around doing errands. It's like too much empty space lets the worry stretch out. I used to think rest would help. Now rest feels like a trap. Do other people get worse after the slow weekends, not the hectic ones?

Same. Empty Saturday and by Sunday I feel like I did something wrong by not being productive.

I schedule one tiny outside thing, like buying milk, even on rest weekends. Not a full plan. Just a reason to put shoes on.

Is it the being alone, or the lack of a plan even if people are around?
