How do I stop giving myself anxiety over the feeling of anxiety itself?
My alarm goes off and my body is already bracing, like the day started without me. I don't even have a clean name for it. I just know it keeps running the day. Therapy helped me name it. My body didn't get the memo as fast as my vocabulary did. I keep finding essays that sound right and still don't change Tuesday morning. If you've been here, what actually helped — not what sounded wise, what helped.

Accept that you have anxiety. That was my first step. You're imperfect, and that's perfectly fine. SOOOO many people experience what you're experiencing.

The 3 a.m. version of my brain is a terrible narrator. Daytime me has to clean up after it.
